Daily Electric Pallet Jack Maintenance Tips
Regular upkeep ensures safe operation and extends pallet truck lifespan. Perform routine checks and address issues promptly to prevent accidents and equipment damage.
Maintenance Levels:
Maintenance can be typically divided into three levels: daily maintenance, primary maintenance, and secondary maintenance.
-
Daily Care (Perform Daily)
-
Clean exterior surfaces
-
Inspect power cord for damage
-
-
Weekly Inspection
-
Except for recheck daily tasks, the following checking tasks should be paid more attention. Any abnormal conditions should be addressed immediately :
-
Ensuring component functionality
-
Check if tightness of fasteners or oil leaks
-
Inspecting mechanical components for unusual wea
-
Monitoring of electrical overheating/sparks
-
-
-
Scheduled Secondary Maintenance
-
Mechanical System Maintenance(Every 6 months): ✓ Check fasteners/wheel rotation ✓ Test fork lifting smoothness ✓ Ensure operational noise ≤75dB
-
Hydraulic System Maintenance(Annual): Check for internal/external hydraulic leaks and ensure hydraulic oil is clean. Replace hydraulic oil annually using ISO-standard oil:
-
Use L-HV32 for temperatures between -5°C and 40°C.
-
Use L-HV15 for temperatures between -10°C and -5°C.
-
Dispose of used oil in accordance with local regulations.
-
-
Electrical System Maintenance(Quarterly): ✓ Secure wire connections ✓ Test switch responsiveness ✓ Confirm insulation resistance >0.5MΩ
-
IMPORTANT:
-
Stop use immediately if abnormalities occur.
-
Lubricate moving parts regularly.
-
Keep work areas clean and dry.
How to Lubricate a Pallet Truck

-
Locate the hydraulic cylinder oil fill port.

-
Remove the oil fill screw using a 0.2'' hex wrench. The total required oil volume is 250ml.
-
Secure all components before lifting the truck.
Tallet truck Troubleshooting
Below is a list of common issues and their solutions:
No. | Issue | Possible Cause | Solution |
1 | Hydraulic oil leakage | - Worn-out seals - Minor surface damage on components - Loose connections |
- Replace seals - Replace damaged components - Tighten loose connections |
2 | Forks unable to lift | - Oil viscosity too high or no oil - Contaminated oil - Hydraulic power unit failure |
- Replace hydraulic oil - Clean the system and refill with fresh oil - Replace hydraulic power unit |
3 | Forks unable to lower | - Manual release valve incorrectly adjusted | - Adjust the release valve screw |
4 | Motor failure | - Power switch is off - Battery is completely discharged - Brake not released - Blown fuse |
- Turn on the power switch - Recharge the battery - Check if the travel switch was triggered or if the brake is damaged - Replace the fuse |
5 | Charger issue | - Charger malfunction | - Replace the charger |
